Mindless acting
So I was thinking: stage actors are instructed to give their characters motivation. Every action has to have a purpose. Characters can't just do something for no apparent reason.
But that idea doesn't accurately reflect real life. I'd estimate that literally about half of my life is spent entering a room and forgetting why I'm there. Or mindlessly watching Netflix. Or passing many pointless hours attempting to explain to myself why I do the things I do, until I finally give up and watch Netflix.
I want to see a play where the actors literally have no idea why they do anything.
Imagine.
The chaos.
The beauty.
